Apprentice Metal Fabricator


About the role:

The fabrication of tanks, vessels, and other components occurs across our two large workshops at the Shepparton site and Furphy Engineering are seeking to appoint a number of first year Metal Fabrication Apprentices to join our team.

Working within our production team, having access to state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, a wealth of industry experience in our existing team of qualified tradespeople and an extensive range of fabrication and welding techniques.


  • Earn while you learn, with all training fees paid
  • Full tool kit, including all required PPE supplied
  • A nationally recognised qualification

About you:

If you are interested in engaging in a career in Engineering as a Metal Fabricator, this is the job for you. The successful candidate will have:

  • A Minimum of Year 10 completion
  • Work experience or exposure to a workshop environment
  • Good level of language, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and problem-solving skills
  • Serious approach to workplace safety
